Job Description

The Group Head for Community is Malcolm Underhill

IBBhas built a reputation for quality of service in pursuing compensation in cases involving accident, illness or death.

Our lawyers are members of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), the Spinal Injuries Association, Accident Line, the Association of Child Abuse Lawyersand Headway, the brain injury association.

We are specialists in head injury, spinal injury and child abuse claims.

Our personal injury lawyers will meet you face to face, provide a free first interview and advise about various forms of funding, including no win no fee agreements.   

IBB currently have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Administrator to join our growing Personal Injury team based in our Uxbridge office.

 

We require a committed individual with a genuine desire to develop a career within Personal Injury.  This role will not lead to a training contract; however the learning and experience potential is vast.

 

The role includes:

 

  1. To provide a high quality legal service to all clients on all aspects of personal injury claims with regard to:

            a)         taking statements and instructions from clients

            b)         entering into correspondence and negotiation with insurers

            c)         carrying out preliminary investigations into liability and quantum, including research

            d)         advising as to offers of settlement made, under supervision

            e)         drafting schedules of special damages

 

  1. Provide assistance to solicitors within the PI team with their caseloads, to include preparing interlocutory applications and if appropriate, attending the same together with preparing more complex schedules of special damages.
  2. Adhere to the Law Societys client care directive and to the firms own policies as set out in the office manual.
  3. Maintain good file management as set out in the office manual.
  4. Establish and maintain links with clients of the team.
  5. To be self sufficient in the production of correspondence, accounts, etc.. With the use of the PC and relevant WP and accounts packages.
  6. To keep abreast of all professional developments and participate in team training activities as appropriate.
  7. Contribute towards the operational efficiency of the team by participating in group and team meeting developing legal and personal skills within the team context.
  8. To ensure that all chargeable work is properly recorded on client matters.

Remuneration

£17 - 19,000 per annum.
