We have an opportunity for a high calibre solicitor to join the Restructuring team working with our Birmingham team. As an integral part of our leading Restructuring team you will provide support on a wide variety of transactions, including advising our banking and insolvency practitioner clients within stressed and distressed circumstances including re-organisation and reconstruction, debt restructuring and refinancing to formal insolvency procedures such as administration, receivership, voluntary arrangements, liquidation and LPA Receiverships. Whilst the role will be mainly focused on restructuring and corporate recovery, a solicitor with strong banking and corporate experience would also be welcome. You must be confident and capable in the work you do, with the ability to manage your own caseload of transactions as well as working closely with the Partners on major cases you will be given the responsibility of direct client contact from day one and every opportunity to build a successful career within a specialist area of law. You will manage your own workload and where appropriate provide supervision for our less experienced team members. You will also be actively encouraged and expected to get involved in business development activities to develop your own relationships with our existing and potential clients. The successful candidate will have strong restructuring, insolvency and banking experience garnered at a leading regional or national law firm with a reputation in the sector. The restructuring team is a leading practice which advises on some of the largest and most high profile bank led deals in the region.
