London Young Lawyers Group

 

The London Young Lawyers’ Group (LYLG) is the association formerly known as the London Trainee Solicitors’ Group. The name and membership criteria were changed to anticipate changes in the representative groups at a national level. As of January 2008, the LYLG works in association with the new Junior Lawyers Division.  All law students, trainees and solicitors up to 5 years PQE in the London area are eligible to join for a modest annual fee. West London Law Society

The West London Law Society is the local Law Society for solicitors and trainees in the West London area. We have an excellent continuing education programme which provides CPD points and networking at minimal cost. The Committee is elected annually, and we are represented by two Law Society Council Members.The Society was founded in 1960 and has a continuous history of working for its members to achieve the objectivesof the society. Membership is just twenty pounds per annum. It is free to trainees and solicitors in their first three post qualificationyears. The first year is also free to solicitors who complete a standing order form. To join, please complete a membership application form . The City of London Law Society

The City of London Law Society is one of the largest local Law Societies in the United Kingdom. Professional Negligence Lawyers Association

A group of solicitors, who were interested in promoting a professional negligence panel and an Association of likeminded individuals, approached the Law Society to establish whether they would be interested in promoting an accreditation scheme.

As a result, the Law Society’s Training Committee agreed at its meeting in February 2004 to consult with members of the profession who had indicated in their work categories that they are available to take Professional Negligence instructions. The aim of the consultation was to assess whether there would be sufficient interest in the creation of Claimant Professional Negligence to justify further development work being undertaken and in particular an accreditation scheme for Professional Negligence Solicitors. South Wales Trainee Solicitors Group
