Halliwells finance litigation partner duo David Pacey and Richard Clayton have left the firm to join TLT’s recently-established City practice.
Pacey and Clayton will join TLT in the firm’s new Gresham Street premises next month (5 July) as partners in the financial services litigation practice. The group counts Barclays, Bank of Ireland and Bank of India among its key clients.
The duo, both based in the City, are the latest in a spate of recent partner departures from Halliwells, which last week filed for court approval to appoint an administrator.
Pacey joined Halliwells in 2004 from Reid Minty to launch a London banking litigation practice while Clayton joined Halliwells in 2006 from Simmons & Simmons to launch a City financial litigation and recovery practice.
TLT’s financial services head Richard Waller commented: “David and Richard joining TLT will further enhance our nationally-acknowledged financial services litigation practice and will add two first class partners to our rapidly expanding London office. I am delighted that they have chosen to join TLT.”
Pacey added: “TLT has a very clear focus and priority in providing innovative legal support in the financial services sector and intends to enhance its status as a brand leader. We have joined because we are delighted that the firm can offer us the platform required to play our part in achieving that objective.”
